Retirement 45

Here is a fellow that is a friend and mentor ... who is 68 years old ... who worked for the same company since he was 23 years old ... wow --- 45 years!!! Now he and his wife can spend time traveling together ... be like kids again ... play & hang together =)

Pressure

Wow!!! ... did you ever face an angry mob at work??? ... I did today @_@ ... for the past 2 weeks I putted off upgrading the master server --- because from experience, I know that it does not usually go as planned.

Finally, I took the risk and plunge into it ... I started the upgrade late last night after everyone went home ... got kicked out of the building before I can finish ... I prayed that everything will be ok (at least I don’t want to rebuild the server from scratch) ... came into work early this morning ... and then everything went wrong from then on ... yikes!!! ... my stress level maxed out – all user are offline and the mob is getting bigger by the minute ... oh boy!!!

I was thinking ... God, you must really want to challenge me ... technically and my patience (to not tear the rest of me hair off =P ). For 7 hours straight without break ... me and my colleague (thank God for him) hacked this server till we squashed one huge bug ... there are more little bugs ... but at least everyone can get back to work. Yea!!! ... I can breathe again [one very longgggg deep breath] =)

The Forecast is ...

In sun or rain or snow ... with Chica on a skyline cruise ... at a clam bake ... and even sitting around at home ... the time spent together are moments that I look forward to =) ...

She knows how make me REALLY happy (^o^) and I wanna make her EVEN happier ... hehe ... seeing her with a BIG simile on her face and giggling little a school girl ... makes my heart skips a beat in joy ... especially when she squeezes me in her BIG piggy hug =D

Children of God

Sometimes ... we don’t get what we want ... our plan does not go the way we wanted it to go ... but God knows us and we get something better ... thank God for Chica ... I learned so much from being with her =) ... even learn to let go of control (which would be impossible without His patience and guidance)
