Resting is Hard Work

Sometimes, I think I go to work just to rest. I cannot sit still during the weekend when I’m by myself ... there is always things to do ... car maintenance, clean house, etc. I think I rest more when I am with Chica ... even if I’m doing something with her. I cannot wait till I go on vacation ... something like a one week ski trip (^o^)

To live life to the fullest ... everyday as if is the last ... to love each other with faith in God ...

Highlights

I got a lot done for this week. A little bit tire from cutting down four 6’ bushes ... and it is my first time using a chainsaw ... learned more and more as I try new things.

I have also learn a great deal from helping my good friends (bride and groom) in planning for their wedding ... a lot of consideration and preparation needs to be done --- 3 hours discussion on just schedule for that one day --- not to mention the buying of a co-op and renovation.

I’m very happy to see Chica come back from her business trip ... I will continue to pray for her neck pain and headaches ... I’m not worry, but I wish I could do more. One important lesson that I’ve learned is that my strength (physically and otherwise) is nothing compare to God’s strength ... so I humbly come before God and ask ... please help Chica ...

Huh?

I was working to cut down the 3rd bush when the chainsaw suddenly stop ... huh??? ... I try to restart it, but it did want to run ... then my mom came out to see how I’m doing. I told her that I cannot get the chainsaw running again ... she then ask me ... “do you have any fuel left” ... lol ... I ran out of fuel!!! ... haha.

Happy b-day to my grandma ... she is 94 years old!!! Moreover, I just found out that my cousins are Christians too.

And finally, I wanna say “have a great trip!!!” to Chica =)

Oil Change Deja Vu

lol (^o^) ... I got to laugh ... 5 hours (again) to do one simple car oil change.

Once again, I can’t get the oil filter off ... my bad --- I over torque it last time ... the filter did not budge even with a 24’ breaker bar because the oil filter cap keep slipping off ... I was a little bit frustrated but not worry.


Thank God for Chica’s father’s adjustable cap ... I’ve learned that a good cap with leverage does most of the work, not my muscle ... and more importantly ... it is much more fun when God grants me patient and persistence in a challenging situation =)

Plus One

Even with all the surprises that happened over the past few days, the one gift from God that I’m most thankful for is Chica ... she never stops to amaze me (^o^)

Surprise!!! & Surprise again!!!

This weekend, I did not expect much ... but Chica sure did a lot ...

She baked me a chocolate cake from scratch ... WOW ... with flours, butter, real chocolate and stuff ... hmm, yummy ... she is so sweet ;)

She then threw me a surprise party ... with all my good old college friends and more ... WOW ... that must be hard work to organize, host and distract me all at the same time. Every one of my college buddies with their significant other showed up on the same night ... that must be a tall order in itself =P

Moreover, she is organizing my luncheon at work ... she is amazing.

Deja vu from last year ... I did not expect much, but God blessed me with Chica. Everywhere I went today, I told everyone what she did for me ... and everyone tells me she is a keeper for me ... but I already knew this even before the surprises.


I have faith in God and Chica ... and every action she takes confirm my every suspicion ... that Chica is someone much more special than a girlfriend or a wife ... she is my best friend =)
